Sweet! I took a potshot. Your Uncle Jerry, ever the engineer, took out paper, pencil (mechanical), and scientific calculator after consulting the websites for your power company and the HVAC manufacturer. If he’s a good boy, I’ll share the brownies.
Looking at your blog again, it’s no wonder that I won: your meter was read on my birthday!!

Congratulations Gayle! I must say I’m happy I was way too high. Now if only I could get my own energy bills under control.

It sounds like the new energy star gadets are helping out. Your’s is lower than ours was in Ohio.
I was close dang it. You should have told the kids more often to turn off those lights.

Well Dang, I was really countin’ on someone elses brownies for a change, but I am really glad you didn’t get nicked for more than that.

PS I really don’t expect you to mail brownies, you know. You have enough to do!! I gotta envy anyone who really can make them though– mine turn out like quicksand or hockey pucks, no in between. I remember making them for a school birthday treat when the kids were young. Made them in the morning, overcooked them, was too broke at the time to go buy more mix. Pulled the “brown sugar” trick– layered them in Tupperware between slices of awful gummy white bread. They soaked up enough moisture to be edible by snack time! Necessity really is the mother of invention.
