The Color Purple

I’ve been a little worried about the particular shade of purple we picked out. It has to be right, or we’re going to have to live with it wrong. “Oh, you’re the people with the Barney house!” or “You mean the big lavender wedge on Grover?”
I took a couple more trips to the paint store, and consulted with my wife, and my three-year-old. They both agree, we picked the right color a long time ago. It also helps that Christiane wants it to be bold. I don’t want it to be bold, I want it exactly perfectly just right. A subtle but obvious contrast. But if it’s off, it will be in the direction of bold.
This is the purple.

This is the gray. It’s the exact color of the house from before we started. So I know it’s nice.

By the way, this is a great color site. They have just about every color by every company. The free visualization software gets an A+ too. I used it to make the picture below. The result is exactly what I want the house to look like.

We’ll see in a few days if we did good. The painting crew started on Wednesday.
