We’re slow to update around here these days. My body is definitely sending me clear messages: baby trumps house. Got it, lady? Baby trumps house.
So, I’ve mostly been prepping for the other new addition. I’ve been cooking up a storm, I’ve washed all the clothes and diapers, I’ve ordered the birth kit and tub liner. I have started stockpiling the stuff, like the carseat and swing and toys, etcetera, etcetera.
There’s just one problem… we don’t live in that awesome new house yet. We fit quite snuggly into this 2/1, and there really isn’t room for an new addition (unless we wanted to put a master suite on the back of the house–too bad it is a rental). All this stuff and no where to go.
Have I mentioned how badly I wanted to give birth in my new tub?
Alas, we are making progress, so I am not complaining.
Yesterday, our plumber finished up the prep for the roofers, and today they roofed our house!
The house painters showed up today, too, to begin prepping for the Great Erwin House Painting of ’06. David might have made some last-minute changes to the colors; I’ll let him expound on that
I ordered the ModWalls tile. We went with the Bungalow Blend except that we asked them to change the lipstick red to a more brick red to match the dining room.
I’m also fairly certain that the framing inspection went pretty darned well the other day with only a few minor things needing to be fixed. So… we’re on schedule! I’m not really sure what that means because the babe seems to have a schedule all her own.
Needless to say, one of these days I will crawl the 2.5 blocks to take some pics of our beautiful progress for ya’ll to enjoy. David will most likely beat me to it!
