Day 66

We’ve come a long way, baby.
Day 66 - Afternoon
We made our daily pit stop on the way home from school and watched as they worked on finishing up the siding on the front of the house. I just love how the mixed siding looks! I love the windows! I love the roof!
Windows!
And I love the doors that open from our bedroom onto the… nothing. Deep breaths; we will have a deck there at some point.
Earlier in the day, I had done a quick drive-by and watched them hoist those doors up to the second floor using a very precarious pulley system. When I say I drove by quickly, I mean it. I didn’t have the stomach to watch them smash to the ground. But they didn’t! There they are!
I swear, I could totally set out a folding chair and watch them work all day long. If I weren’t so freaking pregnant, I would even lend a hand.

It’s looking great and seems to be progressing very fast.

I really love the three little windows. That’s my favorite thing about modern house design…three little windows. It seems quite popular and makes me want my own. However, I don’t think they’d look quite the same on a ranch. ;)

Thanks, ya’ll!
Is the 3-window thing modernist or just contemporary? It seems like I see it everywhere these days, and I really need to take pics of good examples. I don’t know what it is about three… Anyway, I imagine that in 50 years, people will drive around and say, “You can tell which of these are turn-of-the-century because of those three little windows!” LOL
