Saturday: We had a meeting with the communications guys. When they called I really thought Ace was handing daily management of the job over to a lackey.
Communications Guy: “Hi, I’m the communications specialist for Ace.”
Me (thinking): “Oh well, Ace is a busy guy, he has to delegate.”
Turns out the communications guy runs ethernet, telephone, and speaker wires. He looks about 25 years old and is expecting a third great-grandchild. Either he’s not clear on genealogical terms, or I gotta find out what brand of moisturizer he uses. We mapped out a plan for speakers every-freakin-where and no phones. That’s right Southwestern Bell! Take that!
Then I drew the kitchen on the porch, and we decided to delete about 18 inches of cabinets (and the wall they rode in on).
Sunday: We rested.
Monday: Ace ordered windows (!). And tonight we’ll meet with my neighbor, who I hope will do our kitchen cabinets.
Coming this week … put on the Prodigy, we’re gonna smash my house up!
