Tuesday was a no-visible-progress-at-the-house day. Hopefully there won’t be too many of those.
Here are a few pictures of the work completed last Friday and Monday.
1. There is hole in our living room floor where they are putting in 3 new piers. They really cut out the minimum. I can’t imagine standing in one of those gaps with a shovel digging a hole big enough to plant a tree in.
2. The two piers under the bedroom (thanks for not smashing the floor!). This is even more amazing. Somehow they did this with about 20 inches of head room. Somewhere, there is a shovel with a very short handle.
3. Holes for the piers in the front of the house. Note the square rebar feet that will go in. I knew someone whose house fell over because the piers were rounded on the bottom.
4. The big-ass sign Ace nailed to our house.
